Description



  • One of the most beautiful items we have ever made: the Wow is a pleated knitted skirt with a multicolor rainbow inlay that reveals itself when walking and moving. A unique product!


  • Composition: 97% virgin wool 3% other fibres, yarn from production stock.


  • Sewn and packaged in Italy, in the Marche region;


  • The elastic waistband can be adjusted at the hips and waist as desired, changing the length and comfort at the waistline.


  • Each color that appears is an inlay, meaning the machine must change thread in a few centimeters many times, slowing down the standard weaving times. Furthermore, the pleats are formed for the first time through a special stitch used in the weaving program. Subsequently, the two pieces that will make up the skirt, once knit, must be steamed and ironed by hand to give strength to the pleats one by one (the procedure requires about 30-35 minutes per piece); at this point, each piece is held in place with paper tape and once fixed it is sent to the package where the waistband will be, in order to maintain the pleating. Once everything is finished, the WOW remains hanging and is folded only at the time of shipping.



philosophy

Each color combo and size is made in a very few or one one number since it is made with leftover yarns by previous quality productions. This choice was made specifically for sustainability purposes to recover quality yarns and limit new productions, dyes, transports and therefore waste of energy as well as accumulation of unused raw materials. Colors may appear slightly different in photography.

All our garments have a tolerance of 1-2 cm compared to the measurements you can find in the Size Guide. The knit is an elastic workmanship and the yarn may differ slightly from what is indicated.

washing

Hand wash in cold water, dry flat. Pay attention to the applications and do not stress them during washing. The WOW skirt is unique and iconic and if treated like a precious object it will accompany you forever.
