Description

A colourful little reversible waistcoat, lined and comfortable, perfect this season for layering over T-shirts and shirts, but also for wearing under our cardigans (such as the Coco) and adding a personal touch to even a simple pair of jeans.


Hobbie was created as an extra-limited edition using jacquard jersey cotton fabrics: a unique piece with a Japanese-inspired aesthetic, combining different patterns and produced in very limited quantities: just a maximum of 4 pieces per variant. All waistcoats are made from stock fabrics and tailored for us by a small tailor’s workshop in the Marche region.


The collar is shawled to enhance the garment like a little jacket and better frame the face. On one of the two sides there are two piped pockets, which can also be used as inside pockets if the garment is worn inside out. It fastens with two eyelets and a double button, so it can be buttoned up on either side.


The Hobbie waistcoat is inspired by the patchwork outfits from the 1980s ‘Holly Hobbie’ illustrations, reinterpreted in the Knotwear style.

philosophy

Each colour and size variation is produced in very limited quantities or as one-off pieces, as they are made using surplus fabric from previous high-quality collections. This decision was made specifically for sustainability reasons, to make use of leftover yarns and minimise new production, dyeing, and transport, thereby reducing energy waste as well as the accumulation of unused raw materials. Colours may appear slightly different in photographs.

fit

A loose, oversized fit with dropped shoulders. Each of our garments is designed to be inclusive and unisex. Wear it with pride, whatever your identity! All our garments have a tolerance of 1–2 cm compared to the measurements listed in the Size Guide. The knit is stretchy and the yarn may vary slightly from what is indicated.

washing

Hand wash or machine wash in cold water, without leaving it to soak for too long, then lay flat to dry. If looked after with care, the Hobbie will last you a lifetime.
